These terms are the agreement between you and Viraj Madhushan (“we”, “us”) for using TrackJar. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use TrackJar.
1. The service
TrackJar is a web app (installable as a progressive web app) for tracking things such as project time, income and expenses, and calories, with dashboards and summaries. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give accurate information, verify your email address, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person per account. Tell us promptly if you think your account was accessed without permission.
3. Your data
- The information you enter is yours. We do not claim ownership of it.
- You give us permission to store, process and display it solely to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You can download all of your data and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & data. Deleting your account permanently deletes your data, and we cannot restore it.
- You are responsible for what you enter and for having the right to enter it.
4. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights using the service;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or probe, scan or test the service's security without our written permission;
- overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the service, or bypass rate limits or plan limits;
- use automated means (bots, scrapers) to create accounts or collect data;
- upload malicious code or use the service to send spam.
We may limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Not professional advice
TrackJar is a record-keeping tool. Its summaries, totals and calculations are for your information only. It is not financial, tax, accounting, legal, medical or nutritional advice, and the figures may contain errors that depend on what you entered. Check important numbers yourself and consult a qualified professional for decisions about taxes, invoicing, health or diet. Calorie and nutrition values are whatever you enter; we do not verify them.
6. Plans, limits and future pricing
TrackJar is currently free. Each plan has limits on how many records an account can hold, shown in Settings → Plan & usage. We may introduce paid plans or change limits in the future. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice, and you will not be charged unless you choose a paid plan. You can always export your data first.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or discontinue features. If we shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice so you can download your data. Keep your own backup of anything important by using the data download.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using TrackJar and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we are required to by law. If we end your access without a breach on your part, we will give you a reasonable chance to download your data.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (which is zero while the service is free). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts there have jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to use the courts of the place where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using TrackJar after the change, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
